230SL OIL PUMP

I’ve have just bought a SL230 engine and on inspection have found it is fitted with 280 oil pump. Does anyone know if this is an issue? I can see that the pump is the same envelope dimension but the gears are 5mm longer to provide a greater oil flow.
Any help appreciated.
