How cool are we?
« on: September 24, 2020, 23:57:20 »
My daughter sent me this picture to prove what trendsetter we are. Apparently this Harry Styles is someone that even I should know about at my age.

Styles is a former member of the once popular boy band “One Direction”. I showed that photo to my daughter back when she was crazy about the group. Gave me instant “cred”.

I would have a hard time finding AND LIKING a car that is older than I am. Maybe a 540K...Would not have enough money for that, though.

My musical tastes run (and Mike Mizesko knows this) everything from Coleman Hawkins, Chick Webb, Artie Shaw to Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, Vince Guaraldi, Cole Porter, Sidney Bechet, and yes, to Harry Styles...he's on the radio all the time.

I like my 1959 Borgward Isabella Coupe.  It's a few years older than I am.

If its a 4 speed I'm not sure if he or anyone under the age of 30 would know how to drive it.  Nice photo op.

Finding an instructor and then taking your test in an auto is hard here in the uk. Getting easier than it used to be but... take your test in an auto and that is all you can drive. So most folk default to a manual/stick and then get an auto car at some point.
I have the same issue with my motorbike licence
