« on: September 24, 2020, 10:49:40 »
Wanted to thank all who have helped me getting our car back together.  Been driving it around since early summer.  Lots of comments.  Could not have done it without this site.  1969 280SL 2nd Owner

Maybe -  that picture with the snow looks like early summer in Saskatoon Saskatchewan or as the movies say Sas- catch-a-toon.

Achim, Therre are times that Saskatchewan has early snow in early September. See Below.

Dieter

Stay Safe!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When does it start to snow in Saskatoon? The first snowfall of winter for Saskatoon usually arrives in October or November, but can show up as early as September. The season's last snowfall typically happens in April although in some years a late snow lands in May. Saskatoon is normally free of snow every year from June to August.
Ah, Rolf-Dieter,
Now I do understand! Thank you so much for the clarification.  ;)
So, it is in Saskatoon pretty much the same situation as in the Eifel region in Germany
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eifel):
'Nine months of Winter and three months cold..."   ;) (like a friend of mine sad, coming from there....)
So, in Saskatoon, it's not unusual to have snow late during  the Summer.  :D
Best,
Achim
