w111 cars and other WRD

when my car is warm and I check the WRD air is slightly coming into it when the filter is off.When I block it off the idle does not change is this OK or do i have to get it to shut off.M130 engine in a W108 1972.

Mine has a very slight suction when hot. I think is due to wear between the piston and cylinder over time. IMHO, if the idle does not change, it should be fine. That just means the slight suction is not having an effect on the mixture which is good.
