I’m brand new to the Group and find the content rich and informative. I am looking to acquire a ‘70/‘71 280SL and wondered what options I might have to service same close to my home in the Rancho Mirage / Palm Springs area. Any recommendations?

Hello JF111, welcome to Pagoda group, some help from me would be to ,
after you make your purchase, and  if your Pagoda drives ok and does mostly  what
it should without to many problems.
Pause be patience, dont rush in to getting it serviced,as long as it has all fluids, runs well,
learn more about your classic your self,  Join our Club here ,become a full member,
then you will get all the help you need, from Us.
By then you will probably find out a good reliable service person  close to you, that can help.--regards.

I haven't had any of my cars into a professional garage for about 10 years, all thanks to sound advice and knowledge on this forum and ones like it for my other cars. Shop manuals and youtube videos round out what I need to know so far. And I am an accountant with 0 technical background.
