Hardtop patent
« on: June 23, 2020, 17:04:21 »
Aloha,

While perusing the forum recently, I came across a post from 2008 titled: "afte rmarket hardtop". A reply from 66andblue included a copy of the hardtop patent. Intrigued, I went looking at the USPTO and found a clearer image of the complete patent. Here it is:

Aloha!

It seems the patent is for “the ornamental design for an automobile” and includes a recognized name of at least one of the primary designers of the W113. It would Be interesting to know why it would be considered “aftermarket”.
