3 Position Solenoid
« on: June 12, 2020, 00:57:53 »
Hello everyone,

I'm troubleshooting my 3 position solenoid, it does not appear to be working. I can move the arm freely. However when it receives power I can hear a faint click, but no movement. It has a good ground on the large terminal at the rear of the terminal strip. Powering up the center terminal makes the faint clicking sound.

Sounds to me like an internal problem with the solenoid. Are these available anymore?
If so where?

My searches havent been successful.

Thanks.

Sometimes one end of the linkage or the other can  get stuck. You may need to dis-connect the rod and test it so verify if the solenoid is working. There is a tiny safety wire which locks the linkage in place. Remove it first before attempting to dis-connect the linkage.

Forgot to mention that I had disconnected the rod while testing as well. Rod moves freely as does the arm on the solenoid.

Guessing I need a replacement solenoid or need to get this one repaired. Doesnt seem like they are available anymore, so does anyone know who/where can repair these?
