FIXED: Small, but annoying rear-view mirror issue
« on: May 04, 2020, 18:22:23 »
The interior rear view mirror in my early (built 64') 230 has begun to dangle around on its swivel to the point where I have to adjust it every time I've driven over even minor imperfections in the road surface - can it be tightened somehow? Or can I add something - eg. Loctite to the swivel to make it stop? I know it's a minor issue, but it's driving me nuts :-)

Open it up and tighten the screw. Remove the plastic retainer around mirror glass with care. The mirror glass is spring-loaded, just press it slightly to release tension on the retainer, then start the removal.

Hi,
the early interior rear view mirror can be opened very easy and tightened with central screw, see picture.
