Wrong NGK BP5ES Spark Plugs Problem Solved
« on: April 27, 2020, 22:56:15 »
Got the NGK BP5ES plugs but there is a problem. I ended up with 2140 BP5ES plugs that have a non removable top. Does anyone know the number for the plugs that have a stud top? I looked at the 7832's and those have a screw top but the stud is short.

I use 7832 all the time on many cars, never any issues.

Hi,
are you shure that your SAE-terminal is fix, non removable? Sometimes it's very tight.
If you look in NGK's spark plug notations you'll find a
- "B"= integral terminal/non removable terminal top instead of a
- "S"=standard/removable terminal top.
But there is no BP5EB but a BP5ES with order code "6511".
You can download complete NGK catalogues here: https://www.ngkntk.com/service/downloads/#Catalogs.

Went to NGK catalog and they list NGK BP7ES / 2412 plugs. Could not find in the US so have purchased from the UK.

I found that sometimes it is easier to find those plugs in motorcycle sections of the stores.

I ran into the same problem.  The box and part number is identical, but there is a small box on the side that has a check mark for the removable type or non-removable type.  Really strange and must be a big headache for stores.  I bought the wrong ones and tried to remove the top.  Didn't end well...
