Soft top installation question
« on: November 03, 2019, 19:13:12 »
New to the group so I apologize if this has been asked before.  My recently purchased 230SL has a fairly new soft top installed, seems to fit fairly well with one exception.  Above the side windows, there is a tab on the end of the bow that is below the seal creating a gap.  It looks to me as though it should be between the seal and the canvas top?

Thanks,

Dale

Yes, certainly the tab should be above the rubber seal. The rubber strip (seal) should go tight against the soft top frame rails, in order to lessen wind noise when driving. No gap.

There is an intended gap in the soft top behind the B pillar however.
