It could be that my living in Canada had an effect.  Up to item 3) everything was fine.  The selection opportunity for Item 4) never appeared even after I changed my payment preference from my credit card to my bank account so I started looking for another alternative.  I found and downloaded the iPad App, then everything was relatively easy from then on.
I'm reasonably sure that evolution of technology in conjunction with my personal evolution created an incompatibility.  All is good now.
Anyway, I am looking forward to receiving my Bow Buddy.  This is a great service to the members.

Tom Kizer

I had problem too to start with. I think PalPal have changed the format so not so easy to pick friends and family, probably so they can get more fees!!!

There seems to be some people that are having problems with PayPal.  First and foremost,  in order to send CASH via Friends & Family (Personal) YOU MUST have a bank account linked to your PayPal account.  I will not accept credit card payments.

In order to link a bank account to your PayPal account please go to paypal.com, sign in and follow the instructions to do so.

I can accept Zelle also if you have that.  If all else fails please PM me and we can try to work something else out.

Now with all that said. There seems to be differences between PayPal on a desktop computer or logging into PayPal.com on an phone versus using the actual app one the phone.  I witnessed it yesterday on a friend's phone.  So try the app!

Bow Buddies are currently being made :o

Thanks again.

Update:

The first wave of Bow Buddies were sent out today.  Both Domestic & International packages.

I'm still waiting on payment from others that have ordered.  If you contacted me, my wife made one for you and is taking up space on my dining room table ;)

Some people are still struggling with PayPal.  I will not accept payments being made by Credit Card.  I will Instant Refund you if you do and then you must try again sending Cash via a linked banked account.

The common problems seem to be:

1) User error
2) Don't have a back account linked to PayPal (Follow instruction at PayPal.com to link your bank account)
3) Bank Debit cards are considered Credit Cards and WILL NOT WORK!!!!
4) Difference in PayPal in a browser or in an App (iphone, ipad, etc)

It's not the preferred solution but if all else fails some people have sent a check by snail mail.  Please contact me if that is the case.

Thank you

People should start receiving their Bow Buddies soon.

I find it easiest to place on the soft top pin from standing on the left had side of card. Place the Bow Buddy on the hook side and pull it onto the pin.  The Bow Buddy is meant to fit very snug on the pin so it won't fall off. After a couple of tries it becomes easy.

Enjoy!

Today is a good Pagoda day:  Bow Buddy delivered today, along with the Pagoda World book!  I think I'll cap it off by taking the Pagoda for a little spin this evening before grilling some Salmon for dinner!

The rest of us are jealous, anticipating a weekend devoid of bow buddy or pagoda world book; or salmon for that matter.

However, I did just take my pagoda out for a short spin... ;)

I just received mine here in Quebec.  It fits great and, believe it or not, as I was holding the top partly out of the compartment to install the Bow Buddy, the iower bow separated and fell back into the compartment.  I just fished out the Bow Buddy strap (already attached) and lowered the rest of the top back into the compartment, ready for the next roof raising event.

The next item that needs inventing is a clip (two required) to keep the canvas top rear corners folded under while lowering the top into the storage compartment.  After manually folding one side under, when I try to fold under the other side, the first side pops out.

Additionally, is there any way to retain the "folds" at the B-pillar to hold them out of the way during the lowering of the bows into the soft top compartment and prevent them from damaging the seal felt?  I have the plastic sheets to protect the felt but they don't do a perfect job.

Thanks for the Bow Buddy.  It's a great invention.
