Bilstein shock absorbers
« on: October 12, 2019, 13:45:35 »
Hello guys, I was looking on the internet to buy new shocks and I remembered that dB depot had the best price for Bilstein shocks, but it seems they decided to double the price compared to some months ago. Do you know any sources to purchase this shocks for a normal price? (Better European sources in order to avoid custom fees).
Thank you

I have just bought 2 x Bilstein 24-005272 front shocks on a website called mister-auto UK. This is just an internet "shopfront" because the parts are delivered direct from Germany.

The price seemed decent compared to many.

Thank you guys, unfortunatly theyare very expensive too compared to other brands like kyb or Sachs. Db depot used to sell a full set of Bilstein for only 393€ and now the ask almost 800€.
Is 3 times more than a kyb shock..

Hi,
KYB is OEM for several European car manufacturers (e.g. VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) and 20% of all produced cars worldwide run with KYB shocks. In German Pagodentreff someone refered to a guild newspaper that KYB produces shocks for Bilstein.
For one third of a Bilstein I would give them a try.

Hi,

I replaced the new Sachs shock absorbers with a kit from KYB. The Sachs shocks werde too soft and I am happy with the KYB products.
