Probably too good a buy. Too many fakes on Craigslist.

Good buy? Sure, it even comes with two sets of tires with and without whitewall! Just another fake.
We should not clog our "for sale" board with such external "promotions". You are just playing into the hands of the fakers.

If it is a fake, then it's a warning then.

If it's not, it could be a good deal for someone.

You're welcome not to look at posts like these.

Teahead, I know you don't like the rules the club has established. But I believe it would suit you well to read them anyway:
2. Items listed must be from private sellers and not commercial companies, agents or brokers.  Those may be listed on the Commercial Advertising forum.

eBay is a commercial company and Craigslist a broker, or do you want to dispute that too?

Teahead,

Can I ask again that you do not post cross references to other websites for vehicles for sale unless you are interested in buying the vehicle and seeking help from the members to comment or check out for you or, you are the seller in which case you may post in our For Sale area free of charge.

I removed one post from yesterday that was a scam and this looks like another. And to suggest that we just don’t read them, well i read all posts as do others doing the moderating to ensure we keep our Forum free of unwanted junk mail and misc illegal or inappropriate posts. i cannot just “not read” it as you suggested.

Well, maybe it would be good if we post ads that are obviously scams and mark them as such in order to help (and educate) the community.

Mike
Surely if people are interested in a car, they’ll post details of and ask for assistance.
If they don’t, caveat emptor. We cannot collectively be the scam police or arbiters of what is or is not a “good” car/price.

Yes, I find it “fun” to poke holes in ads, or see where people see scams (see the tyres noted above) but I don’t think it’s in any way helpful unless someone with an interest in the car asks us to, particularly as these are not rare cars and all of them have their issues - even if just your/my perception of value

I agree it's cluttering up and not serving enough of a purpose to start cross-listing bunches of ads from all over. This one seems fake to boot ("shows absolutely fantastic with real world pagoda" I mean come on).
