Transmission modulator pressure measurement
« on: June 11, 2019, 23:11:19 »
I cobbled together the attached liquid filled pressure gage and 8M banjo connections.  With vacuum disconnected, the transmission measures over 100 psi in forward gears at idle.  Something is wrong, as the transmission shifts well, but perhaps not quite as briskly as it should (compared to a friend's rebuilt 230 SL transmission).

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Are you sure you are using the correct point (port) for attaching the hollow screw/banjo?

In order to perform the more advanced workshop and maintenance tasks, I would advise to have the factory literature at hand. Like the Book of tables or the BBB manual.

Based on earlier advice, I was attached to port 4.  I'll try again today!

Yes Bob, I am sorry, I was not sure that is why I asked. Now it is clear. I removed the posts to avoid mistakes. I am sure now you will get there.
