I’m going to be honest. I was NEVER a Mercedes guy. Toyota and Honda all the way. About a month ago, I was instilled with the trust of selling my grandfather’s 1971 280SL. Since the day It was transported to my house, I started driving it off and on. I have 200000% fallen in love with the car. The engineering and craftsmanship that went into building this vehicle is absolutely mind blowing. Cars of this caliber will never be built again. I now know why forums like this have been created. For those who have responded to my questions regarding valuation, thank you. I understand your love for these cars. They are marvels if engineering. I am doing my best to get the most for the sale, all while dragging it out so that I can enjoy the ride for that much longer. Thanks fellas.

Take tons of pictures, closeups of the important spot welds, fender notches (if it has them), underside.  Maybe remove the rocker covers to show how rust free it is (if it is).

Videos...walkarounds, cold starts, and inside and outside the car driving too.

Good luck!

Pictures?

Maybe try to sell here first?
