re-assemble Interior rear view mirror
« on: February 08, 2005, 10:34:49 »
Does anyone have a pic or can give instruction for the placement of the flat spring for the day/night toggle? I failed to take a photo of the inside assembly of the mirror when I sent it to the chrome platers. I have spent much time trying to figure it out!!!

Paul,

I assume you have the all chrome mirror?  I don't have pics, but might take some tonight.  The toggle works so that when you push the bottom of it towards the windshild, the bottom edge of the glass moves toward you.

Yes Rodd, It is the all chrome mirror. I can't figure out which way the flat wire spring fits into the toggle & how is the toggle attached to the back of the mirror or does it just sort of floats. The spring is shaped with about a half circle at each end & a U bend in the center.
Regards, Paul
