background: our '67 230Sl went to a local "show" last night and on the way home (only 4 miles) it stalled a couple times at stop lights and stumbled during part throttle acceleration. It seemed to run well at full throttle. I've had some of this type of behavior very sporadically before but nothing this severe and it always went away quickly - maybe 2 times in the last 6 months. I also have what I'd call hard shifting - the car is an automatic.
I've read the tech and Joe's great post here, but before I dive in I'd like others comments and suggestions on how to diagnose this problem. In my experience this could be either a fuel delivery problem or an ignition problem so I may want to perform some other diagnostics - especially since I'm a novice when it comes to the Bosch FI system.
