Trunk mats now available from the Classic Center
« on: April 16, 2019, 14:13:36 »
I was ordering parts yesterday and Tom Hanson said they now have trunk mats again.  I think he said $108.

Yes, I just got the Classic Center newsletter, and they had the large trunk mat listed as Brad indicates.

Looking at the Classic center newsletter"s cars for sale, interesting that the Pagodas (~$250,000.) both have the pebble format for the firewall pad.  Guess even MBUSA cannot get the original style square format

The judging standard is Original or whatever Mercedes currently supplies so using that guide a pebble firewall pad that is genuine Mercedes is technically more correct than a diamond pattern aftermarket one.  I have a theory that the tar board originals have fallen of and started fires so Mercedes won't go near the replicas.

It's nothing like that. Even the Classic Center is forced to use only MB parts or parts that are authorized by MB for any restoration work in their shops. To that end, I have a distinct advantage over them, even if it isn't much.  ;)
