Rear Brake Screeching
« on: April 01, 2019, 15:09:02 »
I recently replaced both the front pads and rear shoes on my 1966 230 SL.  The rear brakes were screeching badly before I changed to the new shoes, which I bought from Bud's Benz.  Now they screech even worse, particularly when cold.  What do I need to do to fix this issue?

I usually put a 45 degree edge on the leading and trailing part of the friction material on the brake shoe. May not always work but it's worth a try.
