Headlight lenses for USA style AC lenses
« on: February 17, 2019, 22:25:53 »
I am trying to replace my headlight lenses on my 1967 250 SL which are plastic and have chips and cracks in them. They are the USA model AC style. The pricing I can find is extremely high. Wondering if anyone has a good source for these. As well does anyone know of someone making these from moldings?
If the lens is available at a reasonable price, what about removing and replacing the lens from the chrome bezel. It looks like a difficult task, especially without damaging the lens.
Also looking for tail light lenses with the small clear area in the center at the bottom.

I'm looking for the same lens for my 230SL  Did you have any luck finding a source for these?  Also, I have a similar question about removing a broken tail light lens from the holder.  Are these lenses glued in or fused in?

I have one AN lens that would be original for a 250SL and is NLA. I also have 2 bulb holders that go with a pair of lenses. I'd be willing to make a partial trade with someone who has a decent pair of AJ 280SL assemblies.
