Glove box rod
« on: November 22, 2018, 01:06:09 »
Having a problem.  Am missing the curved rod on the back of the glovebox.  I am getting ready for paint so this is the time to deal with it.  Any suggestions .   If I could get one it is the time to weld it on.   Maybe even a good photo and some dimensions so I could try and make one.   Any ideas?

Thanks for the info.  I am looking for the curved rod that stops the door from opening to far.  Will deal with the spring issue later.

Here are some pics of mine. It broke during disassembly. Still need to clean the weld a bit.
The rod measures approx. 6 mm in dia.

If you are making the rod from scratch, let me know and I can make you a sketch with some additional dimensions.

Attached is a sketch, with dimensions coming from mine. It varies slightly from what Wre posted. You will have to test it with the door and the compartment  assembled prior to finishing (painting) it.
hope that helps.
