Rear axel housing torque values
« on: November 04, 2018, 12:52:19 »
I have a Haynes manual and can not find the torque value for the left rear axel housing. Does anyone know where I can find it?

If you can't find it in the BBB(I am at work and don"t have one in front of me) you can usually rely on standard torque values. On the 10mm (17mm head) bolts there is a number like 8.8 etc.  match that to the values on this chart.

I checked the small technical data book and found two references to rear axle housing:

Hex.-hd screws for mounting left rear axle tube with bearing flange at rear axle housing. M8 - 2.5 mkp (18 ft-lbs), M10 - 5 mkp (36 ft-lbs)

Hex.-hd screws for mounting cover at front of rear axle housing - 3.5 mkp (25 ft lbs)
