Hi there, I am cleaning up my enginebay and am going to give the electric fan that sits in front of the radiator a birthday (see photo). Can anyone tell me if the metal frame that supports it, and the steel fan housing are painted the car colour or matt black plse? I can see that the two horns are matt black I thnk?

As a matter of interest were there any 280SE 3.5's introduced into the american market. When looking at american vendor websites they only seem to list the M130 engine or the M116 4.5 litre.

Hi,

The fan-frame was satin black, not car colored. The parts that appear matt black I believe is due to age and wear.
W111 3.5 versions were available in the US market, not sure aboutthe  limo 3.5s,(108/109s)
