Melbourne Australia gathering 8 May 2015

I sent out emails to all the known Melbourne Pagoda owners seeking interest in a Saturday morning 9 May coffee gathering somewhere in or near Melbourne and so far have about 7 interested takers.  I will email out again to all as soon as I have a place to gather with parking.  In this instance whilst I have had suggestions re Yarra Valley and Mornington way and after the first meeting maybe we can mix it up a bit but this the first hopefully of a regular gathering will be somewhere in Melbourne, possible Black Rock way after I have checked out s couple of the suggested locations.

However, definately put 9 May down in the calendar, location to be advised.

If there was anyone I messed just let me know you are interested.

Thanks to several people that have made suggestions to me where we could gather ranging from the Mornington Peninsular to the Yarra Valley.  However for this first in many coffee gatherings, I would like to start by having it relatively close in in Melbourne and at that gathering see what those there would like to do for the next one.

The first gathering will be around 10am  Saturday 9th May at Ricketts Point Tea House.

There are two carparks, one south of the cafe and one on the North side that the Beaumauris Yacht club is in.  I suggest the Northern carpark to gather in at this point.

A reminder to all local Melbourne members either Full or Associate welcome, and any others that are around, we are getting together tomorrow (Saturday) at Ricketts Point Tea House.  All welcome to have a coffee and look at Pagodas.

As I haven't been to the Victorian country side I was thinking of joining your gathering.
However I remembered I had an unmissable appointment on Tuesday and I didn't want to rush back.

Maybe next year when the temperatures are mild I will head south to join your gathering.

Well we had our first cars and coffee and it was a great success with 7 Pagodas turning up and 10 people.  One, Joe, unfortunately was lost in the wrong car park but for Joe and others the good news is that we agreed that we would get together every second Saturday of every second month (odd numbered months) so the next gathering will be Saturday July 11th Same location, Ricketts Point, Northern Car park 10am. Wives, partners and others all welcome.

Thanks to all who came and to those that could not make it this time, maybe next meeting in July.

Meanwhile I will send emails to all of you so you each have the others mailing address.  I will not be able to attend the next one as I will be up north in the warmth in my old kombi camper.  Does someone want to volunteer to send out a reminder the week before?

I live less than 1 km from Ricketts point but had not logged on for a few weeks and did not know about the meeting!

Dont feel bad Ian....I own 2 pagoda's yet didnt have one I could drive there. (and I live 5kms away in Sandringham).

Stan, on the positive side about the weather - the experts will tell you the colours are more 'correct' on an overcast day......not to mention the more interesting sky in the background.

Hope I can drive to the next gathering.
