I was going to guess it was a Pininfarina 230 SL but I am probably wrong...

It is a Pininarina 230sl coupe. Based on a 230sl chassis and running gear, this one off special was built by Pininfarina for a German businessman in 1964 it is featured in Laurence Merediths's book  ORIGINAL MERCEDES SL on pages 92 and 93 with all details.

Will try and add more photos in my next post.

No, no, NO! It is clearly NOT "the" Pinanfarina 230SL. It may be "a" Pinanfarina 230SL, but when one talks of the former, the one on pages 92 and 93, this most definitely did not have the Sunbeam Alpine "fin" treatment in its styling.

The one shown in the photo at the first post shows sedan like headlight lighting, which is not part of that car, and not standard on the W113. The fins are not part of that car either.

This could be just be one guys "one off".

The car looks like MB parts slap-on.
