Another Milestone
« on: February 14, 2015, 23:58:35 »
Beautiful day here in the foothills (sorry Mark/"Iconic") so it seemed like the perfect time to go out and enjoy a topdown drive. We meandered all over and when we finally got home, the trip odometer displayed three zeros indicating we have now driven our car 5000 miles since getting it back on the road. Unbelievable! We also were lucky in spotting another Pagoda not far from home,   (http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=21898.msg156195#new). All in all it was just a great day. Here is a picture of our car taken from a distance as to not show all the bug spatters on the windshield and the grill. Time for a bath I guess ;D

We do miss driving our Pagoda.
But it is not that bad here when the snow is clean, as it has been for a while.  ;D
These shots were taken earlier in the month, but we have a few inches of fresh snow today.
Enjoy the ride !

Hello Mark, as much as I like to "brag" about our nice sunny warm weather at this time of year, I think I speak for all Californians in saying we would gladly trade these days for a some more rain and snow in the mountains. Even though we had a few good storms this winter, the snow pack in the Sierras, which melts and fills our reservoirs in the summer, is almost non existent. Last year was bad, but this year the drought will reach epic proportions if things don't change soon. That said, your pictures are beautiful. :)
