My wife says that talking to an engineer is only slightly more satisfying than talking to the dead.

When I worked for investment banks we used to say:

"Dont tel my mum I am an investment banker, she - poor thing -  still believes I am a pianist in a brothel"...

The difference between an introverted and an extraverted accountant?
The introverted accountant looks at his shoes when he is talking to you.
The extraverted accountant looks at your shoes.

That's the difference between an accountant and an actuary!

Hey James - that one is slightly different and goes like this: "Do you know why John became an actuary? Because accounting was too exciting for him."

Similar to the old Royal Air Force recruitment poster, showing a young boy, on his way to school, holding his arms up as if they were wings as he's walking, pretending to be an airplane. The sub-text: "Have you ever seen a boy playing chartered accountant?"

Back on topic now I guess!
