Last ride for 2013

Great weather lately here if you like sunshine so we took our car out for probably the last ride for 2013. We were gone for about three hours and it got a bit chilly up in the higher elevations but still a joy for us as we reminisced about all the good times we have had in this car. Happy new Year to our friends here on this forum and may you all have many more wonderful journeys in these fabulous automobiles.

Grass looks very dry there John, like you have just gone through the summer we are about to have.

Would like to do a last 2013 drive and will probably try later in day whilst going to a New Years eve party at brothers home.

John,

You inspired me and I took the old girl out for a spin. Only the sun decided to hide behind some cloud formation when I found a spot to shoot this picture. We do have snow on the ground (still from the last few dumps we had, one was 27 inches of the white stuff). Anyway the roads were dry and that is normally when I take my summer toy for a short spin.

Yes Garry, while the warm weather and sunshine is great for those top down rides, California is in desperate need of rain (and snow in the mountains for that matter). This has been the driest calendar year since california became a state 163 years ago. Water rationing has started in some areas and if the reservoirs don't get replenished soon, California, particular the southern part of the state, will be in deep dodo!
