hollow screw search
« on: October 05, 2013, 04:31:17 »
I am getting around to putting together my next project.   1965 220SEb.
It seems I'm missing a small hollow screw that holds a banjo fitting to the
back end of the intake housing.   It's the metal tube that goes down to
the transmission to provide a vacuum.  Would anyone know where I
can find one of these?

Thanks,

The Classic Center in Irvine probably has those or a salvage yard. Try Daniel danmbz805@gmail.com

Your local dealer should be able to get you one also with no charge shipping if you pick it up at their location. Mercedes is good about supplying  parts for old models.  Your local MB parts man, hopefully will be co-operative, or else the Classic Center a good alternative.

yep...  called the MBCC and all is well.   Gas tank back and a new bushings on the shift linkage.
I'm ready to take it on it's first drive in 25 years.  Of course now the snow is coming down pretty good.
