Wind deflectors
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:15:38 »
Hi again all,
Thank you for the very useful information re the fuel for my SL230.
My next question relates to wind deflectors.
In the SAABS I have had there was the option of a wind deflector that fitted into a couple of holes  behind the front seats .My wife thought it a good idea.
There are some advertised in the UK , which have come from  Germany ( they say).
I do not want to put fixings for this in the car .
Does any one have suggestions or comments re this?
Thanks again.
James

I have one in my Volvo convertible; they work but I think for the Pagoda also detract from its looks big time. When I drive top down I never roll up the windows or tilt up the sun visors. I'd rather have more wind turbulance than risk drawing attention from the Fashion Police I guess.

Hi,

I installed this one:

http://shop.chromdesign.de/product_info.php?info=p1661_windschott-mercedes-sl--r-113.html

It is very good. It made the trips with the car much better (and I mean really a lot better).

There is nothing to mount to the car itself.

You should do it, in my opinion.
My girlfriend is also very happy with this.

best regards, Rudy

Thank you very much Rudy,
I bought the one you suggested .
The weather in Melbourne , Australia can be quite cool some days.
This will make my car more comfortable with the top down on those days.
Regards,
James
