Here are links to photos of the cars mentioned in my previous note.  (For some reason, attaching them via Mozilla Firefox didn't work)

Chris,

Gorgeous E9 BMW. Looks like Baikal Blue. One of my favorite colors.

It seems several people here have a thing for that particular BMW in addition to the Pagoda.

Heck, do I feel inadequate.

I have a thing for cars but you lot have problems!

Space is an issue for me, so we actually borrow a friends car space for the 280SL

And the space we have designated for us in our building contains the 230SLK

I have managed to find a quiet corner for my Vespa GT200, and my Moulton fx8 (both 2 wheels, one engine between them).

Douglas,

Yes, my 3.0CS is Baikal.  More photos and info at http://www.e9coupe.com/gallery/christopher_earnest.htm
if you're interested.

As I remember, you also have an E9 -- which model, and what color?

Chris,

I recently sold my 3.0CS, but it's still on that same BMW site as yours. Scroll down and you'll see it.

I miss that car!

While I do not own an exotic BMW 3.0. CS like Doug & Chris I do have a 1987 ford Mustang 5.0. LX. Now if any of you out there are chuckling at this choice let me say   this was the choice of 50 states for a pursuit vehicle that could acheive a speed of 140 MPH and was the offical Law enforment vehical to chase down Porsches for a living.
Mine is a cilivian model prestine with a couple of twikes to the suspension & drive train, but mostly stock. I call it my American 5.0. SLC
My other car just aquired by my wife Sharon is a like new 1992 300-E Sportline Black On Black with only 36,000 miles no dents or dings with all paper work and manuals and tool kit. We only had to add new tires.
My runners are Toyota truck R22  and a Toyota Corolla 1990 both with high millage but not neglected.
"Oh what a feeling" Remember that toyota gingle!!

I too had a CS, in fact a 2800 with twin side draft webers with a crate 635csi motor mated to a european close ratio five speed. That car flew! I currently love my 82 300SD diesel, and that's it other than a BMW 1150GS bike

Oh dear
I too have a 1974 BMW3.0Csi, I am currently restoring it, sad and neglected I am in the process of cutting out and getting rid of the rot. Anybody know a good panel supplier besides Jaymic in the UK?
Anyway besides the list of "junk" I posted a long time ago I have recently added to the fleet
1986 BMW M535 (E28) completely barking mad car in a wide boy city slicker 1980's kind of style very "interesting" in the wet
Taxed and tested for a year for the princely sum of 600 quid
and guess what?
The number of parts I can swap onto the Csi is amazing!
However the old lady recon's I won't want to break it when it comes to that time[:p]
Malc

PS Chris do you have any more pictures of your CS? The old lady likes the colour and would like to see more views!

Baikal looks different in different lighting conditions.  The photos I've already referenced probably reproduce it fairly accurately.  However, since you asked, here are links to a couple more photos.  As this is a Mercedes list, one photo shows the CS together with my 230SL in an early stage of restoration.

OK, it seems we're all addicted to things on four wheels!
Any Rolls Royce owners out there? I ude to have a '63 Cloud III, but now am obligated by involuntary servitude to an '85 Rolls Silver Spirit...
Other car includes a '66 Mustang, two other newer ones too boring to mention here. In another post, I would like to share my expereince with gettiing broad sideded in the Rolls and the nightmare with insurance...note to all...check your policies carefully...mine had an "agreed to" value well hidden deep many pages into the policy...have litigation going on now two years after the accident that was the other guys fault. Apprasier for the other side said damage was only $ 2,000...when challanged by my attorney, apprasier corrected himself...said damage was
$ 2,000 in new damage over PRE EXISTING damage. Liars and cheats, all of them. Please, recommend everyone have your cars photographed from all angles, preferably apprised, and, really do this...spend $ 10 US or 10 Euros or whatever, buy a disposable camera with falsh and keep it in your glove box of every car you have...invaluable if you ever have an accident to document ASAP.

Well... we recently changed the lineup somewhat, and I guess we belong to the "over 5" crowd.  My 1985 635 was looking for a new owner when the old owner said he'd kill to buy her back, so she's off to western Germany still looking like she just rolled off the assembly line, having gained a good 2000 Euros in value in just 3 years. Another car that, like the Pagoda, has a devoted following and will only increase in value. In her place an XJS burgundy/creme (12 cyl) has come, from Munich--gorgeous car with luxe interior and screaming $1500 stereo.  The GT40 is still with us and getting a new steering wheel for Xmas.  The 70s Vette found a new home, leaving room to cram the boring 500SL in its place.  The de Thomaso Longchamps hasn't had anything done lately because we couldn't get into the Jochpass race.  My Little Red Truck (the Pagoda) will have new A/C and softtop this year, and the e Type is cruising for some improvements too... I guess we really are crazy...
