Underside paint and texture
« on: October 04, 2012, 04:30:44 »
All, I've just got my 280SL back an much of the under body work has been done after sand blasting. Id like to know what the texture and paint is supposed to look like when original.

Pictures and descriptions would be gratefully appreciated.

Guxdu hier:
(Transl. "please see here")

http://www.motoringinvestments.com/MainPage.htm

Scroll down the page for "Mercedes" until you find the following white car:

1969 280SL - The Holy Grail (all non-service items are 100% original - yes, even the paint)

Scroll through the pictures, then you'll know what an original W113 looks like.

You can also visit John "49er"'s car here on the homepage. Same 1st class quality!
