I need to replace the headliner in my 67 250SL as the constant shower of "particles"
from the dried insulation is finally wearing me down.

Several folks had mentioned in headliner threads that they knew of upholstery shops that
could do this witihout having to pull out the rear windows ...

By chance would anyone know of one of these shops in the (1st choice) SF Bay Area, (2nd
choice) Northern CA or (last choice) Southern CA ?

Thanks to everyone on this board. Hopefully the more I learn and work on this car I will be able to
contribute, as well.

Cordially,

Bruce

Having just completely restored a hardtop, i don't see any way to properly do this job without removing the windows.
Several upholstry guys I have talked to also confirms this.

Bruce,

Same here. I followed Gernold's article to do mine and there is no way this can be done right without removing just about everything from the hardtop including the two side windows.
