It has been awhile since I have posted an update on Project W111. She has been run for nearly 700 miles since her resurrection from 3.5 V8 parts victim to a low nose 6.
This is my first experience spending time behind the wheel of a W111 chassis. These cars are wonderful to drive! The handling is impeccable for a vehicle of such size. They are smooth and fluid and wreak of royalty. I've driven both Silver Clouds and Shadow's and find them to be no match against this car's uncompromised build quality and drivability. Nice job to the engineers who designed these cars!
Yes she is somewhat underpowered when matched against her former glory as a 3.5 V8. Its not all about speed that makes a good cruiser. Its the feel and the style.
I find the W111's to be every bit as charming and glamorous as the W113. It's a treat to now have a choice between the two within the family stable.
