1968 vs. 1969
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:42:07 »
Is there much (or any) difference between the two years
of the 280se.   I have an opportunity to get some 1969 parts
and wonder if they they will fit a 1968.  Dash wood, chrome, trim, etc.

Also, will the 1968 sedan (four door) interior fit into a coupe?

Thanks,

There was a big change in the interior between the 250SE 111 and the 280SE111. I don't think there is much difference in the way of the interior trim between a '69 and '68 280SE111. If it is a high grille '69, most exterior parts should be similar, but the low grille '69-1/2 will definetely have exterior trim differences especially in the front. I think the rear is similar with the exception of the different colored taillights.

Lots of mechanical and electrical changes though.

Very little is the same with the sedan interior when compared to the coupe as far as I know.
