Sunset Drive
« on: June 17, 2011, 04:27:19 »
Sorry Guys, more pictures. I just can't help myself. Wife and I went for a sunset drive the other night and we put another 40 miles on our SL. It was difficult to end the ride on that beautiful warm moon lit evening and put the car back in the garage. First time driving with the Sealed Beams in over 30 years! They (and all the dash lights) shined brightly. Sure love this car!

Love the mood in the last one - wish my own instruments would glow like that in the dark, but they are much dimmer :-(

Who needs an appology when you showed us perfection :)

My two favorite times of the day for a ride are right after sunrise and just before dusk.

Thanks Rolland, Another nice thing about driving at sunset is you don't have to wear a hat so you can really enjoy the true "openiness" of our cars. No hat 40 years when I was a kid driving this car but these days, I try to keep my dermatologist happy.  ;)

Hallo John

you must be happy for this nice warm and sunny weather. The last days its rainy and cold here in Germany, so its not nice to have a ride into the night.
This week i only take the pagoda out after an oil change and the German TÜV. I got the sticker for another 2 years and maybe more.  :D

Hello Peter
38c here today! Too hot for a top down drive. Staying indoors with the A/C on:-) I have been watching the German weather and hoping you might have some rain as the rivers have been running prettylow (http://www.bafg.de/cln_033/nn_178588/DE/Home/homepage__node.html?__nnn=true). Some river cruises had to be canceled because of low water levels. 8 more weeks until we fly over to start our cruise. Hope to see you.

John,  I'm with you on the hat, I really don't like wearing them, but the thinner it gets on top, the more important it is... :(
