Carpet color "code"
« on: November 05, 2010, 14:36:35 »
I need to replace the tunnel portion of carpeting in my '69 280 SL. The color is brown and I have seen various samples with a reference number of 475 For multi loop carpeting (GAHH for one) that look pretty close to the original. I know the data card gives info on color and upholstery but I have been unable to find any info on the carpeting.

There was a matrix that indicated the carpet color by the interior/exterior combination.
If your interior is cognac or bamboo, the carpet should be brown - code 8008
If your interior is dark brown or parchment, the carpet should be dark brown - code 8015
