The issue of chrome plating is one revisited here regularly.

http://dgcustomchrome.com in Cincinnati, Ohio recently sent me a brochure and letter (unsolicited) by snail mail of all things.

Thought I'd pass it on.  A visit to their website about the process will give you an idea of why it is so expensive!

I don't know them and have not used them and of course, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.
