Cleaning/disinfecting mould on Soft top
« on: June 12, 2010, 22:30:17 »
According to the PO the soft top had only been opened once in the last 20 years.  With the warm weather I decided it was time to open it and give it some use.  After letting the sun beat down on it and giving it a little sprinkle of water to help stretch it I got it latched into place.  However I noticed on the interior surface of the fabric there are spots of mould/mold which I would like to clean off and disinfect.  Nothing on the exterior.  In fact it is in excellent condition.   ;D  I couldn't find anything else on this topic so I am asking if anyone has had this problem and what they used to clean and disinfect their soft top? ??? ???
Thanks for your help.

RaggTop make a cleaner for soft tops. I've got some but never used it, but it's supposed to be very good. They also make a reproofing spray that should then be used as a follow-up. I've used that, and it's pretty good.
