I added these pictures just before the site went down so they were lost.  These are a few months old the car now is getting final outside primer and the interior painted.

Who is doing the work... Notice a lovely 500E and SEC in the background... someone after my own tastes.

Finally the car is in primer and the interior has some paint.  They are getting ready to install the wiring harness and order the new interior.

Hello jfkb2,

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I am so happy that one of the lost children returns back to life. So many of these in the same condition as yours were have been parted out .... Too many IMHO... :'(

Keep on the excellent work and keep us updated, please. :)

Best,
Achim

Man, this project is taking forever.  The car is supposed to go to paint during this week so I hope to have some new pictures for next week. I have waited ten years what's a few more weeks? I hope to get to Blacklick with it.

Well the car didn't make to Blacklick but my son and I sure did. We had a great time and learned a lot of important things and I was able to buy some difficult to find parts.
The car still has not gone to paint but I am glad after finding out that the body number needs to be stamped on the left underside edge of the hood.  Here are some new pictures the seats are done, there is a sample of the carpet ( just waiting for delivery from Europe ), cad plating and hanging of the fuel and brake lines.
