body damage
« on: November 07, 2009, 17:18:11 »
got in a small collision yesterday when the brakes in my car deicded to wack out, hit the car infront of me at maybe 5 mph or less.
grille looks like a goner, headlight lens destroyed, and i cant get my hood open or off with the nose portion going under it.

i dont know weather or not to have a body shop try and repair it, or get a new nose panel and get that installed? any help is apreciated, i am clueless what to do with my car :(

A good body shop should be able to stretch in place and repair it, or in worst case they'll cut it and place it right. I have done similar work should not be a problem.
From what I can see you might be able to save the grill too!

Good Luck,

Bummer.   I guess it could always be worse  :-\

Hopefully a little massaging by a good shop is all it will take.   What's going on with the brakes?

The back brakes weren't grabbing..... Found out it was a leaky wheel cylinder and damaged brake shoes

There's an Az resident that had a front end collision similar but with a bit greater damage than yours.  He took the car to Mark Pasarelli and it looked as good as new when completed.

If you can't salvage your grill, I think you could find a buyer for your grill star  ;)
