How to Re-Chrome the Rear Light

I will chroming various parts of my 230sl/1966

Somebody know How can I remove the chrome part ( frame ) of the rear light.

How It is possible to separate the chrome of the red part, to send it to re-chroming

Hello,
These early tail lights are one-piece units and are not designed to come apart. You could perhaps carefully cut and grind them out, but as I'm sure you've observed, it won't be easy. Maybe someone else has tried it and can advise.

Dave is right.

You have to cut or grind the lenses carefully out (from inside!!) and glue them back with epoxy or something else like that after rechroming the frame.
It's not straight forward but can be done.
Remove the rubber gasket first (if you are careful, you can even reuse it), then you will realise how to "pop" out the mirror.
After that you will find that the lens is casted into the frame outside in. You need to cut the inner lip away until you can carefully press out the lens outwards.
