Hi

I attended the Innishannon Steam Rally  yesterday and on my return noticed the car had flecks of soot. I have spent a good amount of time with car shampoo but still have light black marking on the paint, especially the engine bonnet.

Any suggestions how to lift this? Also, this will have worked its way into carpets, leather and hood material- any suggestions there?

Drew:
Whenever I have foreign material on the surface of the paint, I use a paint cleaning clay to remove it.
I use one from Griot's Garage (www.griotsgarage.com), but you probably have a source closer to you.
