Differential Boot

Hello,

Does anyone know if the following boot from Autohausaz.com is the correct one for the differential. I have a 66 230sl. I am looking for the split type boot.

Don't know for sure, hopefully someone will come along who does, but if they are talking about 2 per car, left and right. it is probably different than those on our cars.

The part number quoted is the same as the one quoted in one of Joe's threads. I wonder if it is the same?

Part number: "The old split boot number was #110 357 03 91"

Hello,

Yes, both boots are correct for the W113.  The one is the split boot and the other is the correct non-split boot.  The "two required per car" is a mistake.   The only MB cars using two axel boots were pre-1956  The first three digits of the part number "110" also tells me it is the correct part for Mercedes W110 chassis.    W110 chassis cars used the same diff configuration as the W113 pagoda cars. Prices are very good!

Thanks everyone for the comments. I did receive the boot but have two questions:

1. What bonding agent is used to glue the boot together, is it a silicone?
2. The supplier does not have the splicing kit available. Where can I get the staples to  pin together the boot once glued?

Maistran .... Lots of choices.  I used 3M weather strip adhesive and large T-50 staples from my hand stapler (available from Home Depot).  The staples are just to hold everything until the adhesive cures.  I also used a bench grinder/wire brush to rough up the rubber so that the glue will bond.
