Chrome bezel came off tachometer

When installing the tachometer, the chrome bezel fell off. Ordered a new one, just like the old one which I crimped on I would most likely have the same problem. Would it work if I placed the tach face down an apply a thin adhesive between the bezel and body of the tach?

Why would it come off if you crimp it? I understand you use the round grey gasket\liner that goes there between speedo and dash? It is just hand tight fixing, the bezel should not come off when crimped…

As Pawel says, and for that matter you should be able to crimp the old bezel back on without issue also.
