Numberplate wiring connection
« on: May 31, 2020, 11:47:31 »
How does the number plate wiring connect to the wiring harness.  Mine was soldered (badly) onto the L brake light wiring ... I'm assume it should clip in somehow around here? (w111 250SE coupe)
Thanks!!

I assume the connection w113 is not much different from w111.
See below.

I was more specially trying to understand how it physically attaches... ie the plug arrangement...

I made this critical effort, moved from the sofa and went to the garage to take the picture...

Ignore the additional wire coming out of the grommet - this is for fog lamp, I htink.

You see the plug in the lamp housing. The same plug is on the other side.

Grommet: A 113 997 03 81

The plug is not listed separately in the spare parts list, there is just the lamp with plug and wire:
A 113 820 00 62

No idea why picture attached upside down... sorry.

Thanks Pawel for getting off your couch!
That's perfect; I can now see how it goes.

I have a 280SL 1969, the connection is completely different.
From which MB is this photo?
