Rewriting history, what a novel idea. I wonder what might happen if certain governments around the World tried to do the same.

Taleb, the data card for your car is a permanent record showing the details of how it left the factory when new.  If you don't have a copy you can obtain one by emailing a request to Tom Hanson at the Classic Center (thomas.hanson@mbusa.com). Attach a copy of your registration showing your name and VIN number to prove your ownership of the car.

There is not a process to update a data card nor would one want to.  I believe you will need to upgrade your membership status to "Regular Member" to be able to look at our Technical Manual and understand the codes on the data card.  It is well worth the small cost.

I hope this helps.

Taleb,

you can read most of the Technical Manual. Some sections are restricted to Full Members, but 80% is available including the section on Data Cards: https://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/Start
1970 280SL. System Admin of the site. Please do not mail or PM me questions on Pagoda's... I'm not likely to know the answer.  Please post on the forum instead!

Just a heads up, Tom is no longer handling the data cards. He told me to send the request to classicparts@mbusa.com.
