I chatted to the guys at ElectricClassicCars at a show earlier in the summer. They’d “done” a ‘60s mini for the owner. Chap inherited the car and restored everything but the oily bits. £60k to convert on top of car and resto. So buy a Pagoda, restore most of it (less oily bits),  add £60k+ you’re at big numbers

Mini was awesome !

I am not sure how they justify their pricing.  It isn't like they are inventing new technology.  You could buy and entire Tesla model 3 for less money than their conversion.  Also interesting to note there was not one photo of a converted car.

You can buy 10 Tesla 3s for that sum (US$ 400K). For the man who has everything?

I am curious.  Has anyone ever seen an underhood picture of the Ionic car or even been up close?  I am wondering if it was even converted or are they just using a gasoline car and trying to get someone to pay for the first one.

Since few years I think also about such project, so I observing the market, collecting the knowledge and look different the solutions. Few years ago it was made a Pagoda project in California documented nicely on YT. Now the car is for sale for 60K USD or best offer.
