So this fell out of the interior of my car when I flipped over bottoms up, I think it's part off one of the instruments, any ideas?

Can you give an idea of the size? A photo with something of known size often helps

Looks like the inside end from a broken tach or speedo cable.

following on from the Dr, is it like a spring with one end squared off - if so another accurate diagnosis from the Dr

It's 4 to 5 MM dia., I pretty sure it's probably Tac. cable, it is broken, there was some black electrical tape on one end. If you zoom in you'll see it has a squared off end and the rest is almost like a spring material.
