Front Brake Caliper Types

230 SLs were fitted with front brake calipers supplied by Girling. Girling Calipers or replacement parts are now difficult to source. Fortunately, the later calipers can be used to replace Girling ones, together with the appropriate brake pads. 250 and 280 SLs were fitted with calipers supplied by Bendix/Teves.
